| The eastern edge of the
Gila National Forest lies between the villages of Hillsboro and Kingston,
New Mexico.
The Gila Hiking Center is home to author/guide Susan Reynolds who
considers the Gila her "neighborhood." The Center is a place to talk
about trails, to study maps, and to pick up gear and food for your own adventure
in the Gila. You can even hire Susan to guide you through some of her
favorite places in the local Gila.
